Adeptus Mechanicus "counts as" Sentinel Part 4

Adeptus Mechanicus "counts as" Sentinel Part 4

Yes, yes, the slacking continues.....
Got these to this stage about 2 week ago, not happy with the photos, as they look better in person but I have a light booth coming via Kickstarter. Hoping that helps a bit :-)

So the question I am struggling with is do they need additional Detail?
I considered either hand painted or stenciled hieroglyphics along the "carapace", or some of the nice Adeptus Mechanic details via their awesome decal sheet. but honestly stuck.

All 3 from each side.

Adeptus Mechanicus "counts as" Sentinel Part 3

Adeptus Mechanicus "counts as" Sentinel Part 3

Ok, ok... I am a bit of a slacker.. Excuses for no updates aside I have been slowly working on finishing this set of Sentinel conversions.

Aiming for a little bit of a different paint scheme, I focused on trying to paint Sandstone.. Turns out not only is stone a difficult concept to paint, sandstone is exceptionally challenging due to the wacky colors combos and random patterns. The aim was something along the lines of this..

I ended up with something completely different, but not terrible.. With more practice and experimentation the goal is replicating something closer to traditional Sandstone.
Going with my Admech Bases to fit in the line Troops

The next set I will pose, adjust and label before painting, the adjustment of the "Toes" was a pain after the fact, too much time was spent fixing paint blemishes after fiddling with the legs to get the position correct.

More soon, and I hope to avoid another 3 months between updates..

Adeptus Mechanicus "counts as" Sentinel Part 1

Adeptus Mechanicus "counts as" Sentinel Part 1

So I have been playing a bit of 7th, and am surprised by how much fun this edition is. Trying out Imperial Guard (Can't bring myself to call them Astra Militarum) and in an effort to have a little bit more fun I am trying to list build using unusual and often overlooked units.

Which Brings me to the Armored Sentinel!
Taken from Google of course!
Having had a great deal of success with the basic 40 point Multi-Laser equipped model in squadrons I figured it was time to stop using the broken eBay-bait ones I had been using and put something worthy on the table.

Again stuck in my rut of Egyptian themed 40k. Fluff behind it would be these are the AdMech Seconded to the Thousand Sons during the Heresy.

A bit of a WIP of course, goal would be 9 when I was done.
Standard Sentinel for Reference
Scale is nearly perfect, a little "longer" and gun is a little lower, but overall like the vibe.
Going to modify the arm guard to switch the side the blade is on.

Thoughts?
